Michael B. Hixson
An experienced lawyer in product liability defense, Michael Hixson oversees all aspects of litigation (from notice of claim to settlement or trial) for manufacturer-clients in cases in the U.S. and internationally.
Michael has substantial experience in advising clients regarding product regulatory and recall obligations worldwide, formulating legal risk-avoidance strategies, implementing corporate document management/retention programs, and advising on cross border legal issues.

Tim Smith is an international trial lawyer who has successfully litigated thousands of complex civil and criminal legal matters around the globe. He has supervised and defended civil and criminal cases and claims in more than 65 countries, he has appeared pro hac vice in lawsuits venued in 22 of the United States, and he has taken or defended depositions in 35 states plus the District of Columbia.
Tim has extensive hands-on court and jury trial experience to verdict in complicated product liability and other cases in courtrooms across America and throughout the rest of the world. His cases have involved a wide range of products and issues internationally, including motor vehicles, aircraft, firearms, power tools, professional negligence, real estate and construction projects, vicarious liability, pharmaceuticals and food products. Specifically in the aviation industry, Tim has acted as part of Cessna and Lear Jet Company’s national counsel program, and has represented Textron, Lycoming, Robinson Helicopters, Bell Helicopters, American Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines and all leading U.S. aviation insurers in product liability cases across the U.S. He also has broad, first-hand experience in front line catastrophe management and crisis communications, setting-up and managing international litigation coordination programs and providing in-house, early stage legal advice focused on minimizing corporate and personal client preventative, regulatory and safety-related civil and criminal liability risks.
Tim is married and lives with his wife in the vineyards just east of Stuttgart. He enjoys all outdoors activities, haute cuisine, loud karaoke and good wine.
